June 30 - Blades of Steel get rusted by H2O

In the seasons most un-eventful game so far, H2O easily took care of Blades of Steel by the score of 5-2.  Game started off pretty tight with the first goal only coming late in the first period when V.Yanbestian notched the 1st of his 3 netters, in what was deemed by most critics as his best game of the season.  Other goal scorers were A.Kizirian and B.Manhas, with G.Fathala adding 3 more assist to bring his season total to 12 helpers.

Un-tradable Jimmy G. was brought in to fill the void on defense and definitely increased his trade value by notching 2 assist.

Winners of three in a row, H2O now find themselves in 4th place overall and in position to get home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.  However, with only a 2 point deficit against Racers, and with Racers having two tough matches coming up against Grass Cutters and Office Inmate, H2O is very well positioned to nab that 3rd place.  Stay tuned to find out how the season will end.....

After last weeks controversial Blog, the Blog-Jeet this week tones it down with a more personal, and subtle blog.......

The Blog-Jeet

"This week's column highlights a more serious topic. I thought this should be mentioned since there was some talk in the dressing room about a former member of H20.

Some of us alumni H2O members recall Joseph Guindi. Yes I know that he was more of a joker than a hockey player, but that's just the way he was and we loved him for it. Joseph has been living in Ireland for the past few years and has recently been hospitalized with severe chest pain (problem with heart muscles). After one week in the hospital, he was released but now is on sick leave at home and is recovering slowly but is far from perfect.

I talked with him and he is coming home to Montreal to visit in July and to get his mind back on track after suffering this tremendous ordeal. I will attempt to bring him to come see his old H2O friends as I'm sure he will cheer for us in the playoffs. Hopefully I can make this happen. Anyways, I just thought that some of us that knew Joseph should realize what has happened to him and if anyone wishes to send their best to him, I will certainly do so on your behalf."

- On behalf of all readers of BHF, get well soon Guindi!
